Team unchanged from the warm-up since Buttler still away with the IPL and Livingstone still injured.
Stuttered to 353-7 (Jennings 99, Jones 90) then had Notts reduced to 104-5 but for a 231 partnership between Patel (146) and Wessels (119) taking them to 336-5 but then a few quick wickets from Onions (4-61) and a rain affected 3rd day meant Notts declared just 14 runs ahead.
Lancashire 2nd Innings saw day 3 end without incident and press on for a session and a half to try and set up a game. Hameed (79) anchored the innings with Jennings (53) hitting another half century. The declaration set Notts 194 to win in 2hrs 40 mins on a wearing pitch.
A very positive run chase at over 5 an over was eventually pegged back by Anderson (3-43) and Onions (2-41) bowling full and taking 3-5 to leave Notts 14 from the final Anderson over, where they could only muster a leg bye and Lancashire escape with a draw in a match that should have been safe.
Match Drawn - MOTM: Jennings (Lancs) 99 & 53 - Notts 10pts, Lancs 10pts
