v Notts (OD)
A changed team saw Alex Davies come in for Hameed, and Kyle Brown came in whilst Bohannon replaces Anderson, and Joe Mennie was recalled.
Lancashire won the toss and elected to bat. 10 overs in 44-0 Davies looked to increase the pace but Notts continued to keep it tight with some excellent fielding but otherwise bowling that produced few chances. Davies reached 50 off 61 balls with a massive 6 off Broad and then Jennings too increased his tempo but fell to Wood LBW for 75(90) ending a 154 run partnership.
Brown, playing his first match of the season, came and went for 12(9) and Davies slipped back into an anchor role as Notts attacked the new batsmen with the field up. Chanderpaul (23 off 17) was trapped on the crease in similar fashion to the other 2 dismissals but Davies completed his century in 118 balls (10x4 2x6) as Lancashire stood at 226-3 with 10 overs to go.
With wickets in hand, Lancashire attempted to throw caution to the wind, but Davies fell without adding to his 103 LBW once again. Steve Croft hammered 50 from 31 balls helped by Livingstone (38 off 22).
Lancashire ended 328-5 (Davies 103, Jennings 75, Croft 55* )
Notts started well and negotiated to 61-0 before the introduction of the spinners and part time Jennings having only selected 4 front line bowlers. Lilley bowled Wessels (36) through the gate and then Moores (6) holed out Parkinson to Chanderpaul at deep backward square. When Mullaney (62) edged behind off Parkinson Lancashire had dragged it back to 106-3 with the required rate at 7.4.
2 balls later Patel skied Parkinson to cover for 0 and whilst the part timer Croft (3-0-31-0) leaked runs at one end the young leg spinner continued to beat the bat. Liley was also starting to prove expensive and Mennie was re-introduced to provide some control and it resulted in Root (58 off 49) being snared LBW by Parkinson at the other end. With Notts 199-6 and pressure building new batsmen found it hard to score and Mennie accounted for Banks, then Wood, then Broad inside 4 balls.
From then on it was only a matter of time and next over Parkinson claimed his 5th victim to end with 5-41 from his 10 over allocation. Notts were bowled out for 219 with 13 overs still left to go.
Parkinson claimed best Lancashire One Day figures of 5-41 and Mennie in support bowled 4-50 off his 9.2 overs.
Lancashire 328-5 bt Notts 219 by 109 runs - MOTM Parkinson.
